During ESSMA’s Safety and Security Workshop in Copenhagen, Joris De Lange - Matchday Operations & Security Manager - talked about the challenges AFC Ajax has faced in terms of attracting, training and retaining stewards and how they dealt with it by creating their own in-house stewarding company, called Stewarding Triple A.

Ken Scott, Head of Inspectorate at SGSA, presented the recently launched 6th edition of the Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds, more commonly known as the Green Guide, during the ESSMA Safety & Security Workshop at Telia Parken. The Green Guide helps sports grounds owners and operators calculate a safe capacity for their venue. It is used around the world by architects and designers as a best practice guide for the development and refurbishment of stadiums.

ESSMA recently conducted a survey regarding the current Food & Beverage stadium market. Over 35 clubs and stadiums have contributed to the report. The main topics focus on F&B infrastructure, catering staff, payment methods, queuing, F&B range and data mining.
