ESSMA Safety & Security Workshop: Find out more about the Allianz Arena, the hosting venue
Secure your place for the Safety & Security Workshop
On 29 and 30 March ESSMA organises its first live event of 2022. During the Safety & Security Workshop we’ll handle post-Covid issues such as pyrotechnics, pitch invasions and crowd management. Furthermore, participants will get a look behind the scenes of the Allianz Arena during a stadium tour on day one of the workshop.
The magnificent Allianz Arena will be the hosting venue for the workshop. The home of FC Bayern München was opened in 2005 after three years of construction. Previously, FC Bayern played in Munich's Olympiastadion for 33 years.
With a capacity of 75,024 seats the Allianz Arena is the second largest stadium in Germany and, by extension one of the largest of Europe. It has 2,152 business seats and 106 VIP boxes of various sizes accommodating 1,368 guests. One of the most recognisable features of the stadium is the fact that it fully lights up from the outside, powered by over 300.000 LED lights.
In 2012 the top-notch Allianz Arena hosted the UEFA Champions League final between its owner FC Bayern and Chelsea.
