DSC Arminia Bielefeld

Short history

Bielefeld is a town in the northwest of Germany and although it might not ring a bell to most people, it is the home base of football club Arminia Bielefeld. The venue was build back in 1926 with only a capacity for 2.000 people but with the growth of the club and number of fans they have been renovating it ever since. The stadium or SchücoArena as it is called now holds a capacity of 26.137 divided into 7.627 for standing places and 18.510 being seats. The Stadium is located near the heart of Bielefeld itself, which makes the stadium a vital part of the city.

 

Important events

The venue has also been used for home games of the women’s national football U20 team and as well for concerts with the likes of Roxette, Joe Cocker and Elton John.
