National Arena Bucharest

Short history

The National Arena Bucharest opened in 2011 and is home to the national football team of Romania, it will also host the cup final and Romanian supercup. The National Arena Bucharest replaced the old national stadium which was demolished between 2007 and 2008. It has a capacity of 55.634, of which 270 seats are reserved for disabled people and 3.600 are VIP. The retractable roof can be opened or closed within 15 minutes and also holds a floodlight system.  

Important events

The stadium is one of the chosen venues for EURO2020, hosting three group-stage matches and one round of 16/quarter final match.

In the past it has also been used to play the final of the 2012 UEFA Europa League.
