COVID-19 has transformed the stadium industry completely over the last months. As a European observatory, ESSMA created a COVID-19 report to give a full overview of the impact and subsequently alternative uses at stadiums and insights on how to re-welcome fans in a safe manner.
Yesterday, ESSMA ventured into the world of online workshops. A global speaker line-up was presented, from Japan over Europe to the USA. They all had one thing in common: the desire to share insights in the field of crowd management during COVID-19 times.
More and more proposed stadium projects, whether they are redevelopments or new constructions, are including an urban redevelopment of the surrounding area in their plans.
