EURO 2020: stadium preparations

These lighting systems need to consistently well maintained, especially to create atmosphere-building light shows. Signify, ESSMA Stadium Partner, has provided many installations to major stadiums across Europe over the years. 

In preparation of EURO 2020, several hosting stadiums decided to upgrade the lighting, like host of the EURO 2020 opening match Stade Olimpico in Rome. Therefore, Signify has upgraded their lightning, just as well as the installations at Allianz Arena in Münich, Puskas Aréna in Budapest, Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam, the Saint Petersburg Arena in St-Petersburg and Steaua Stadium in Bucharest. 

Switch to connected LED Lighting

The upgrade in the lighting of six of Europe’s top stadiums, perfectly on time for the kick-off of Europe’s biggest international football tournament, meant switching towards connected LED lighting. LED lightning offers a superior match experience for players and spectators in the stadiums, and for TV viewers at home. The renovations will also provide the venues greater flexibility for bespoke pre- and post-match entertainment.
