First construction phase of the VTB Arena Park is completed

On October 22, VTB Arena Park, home of FC Dynamo Moscow, officially announced the completion of the first construction phase; the new football pitch and tribunes of the reconstructed “Dynamo” stadium. The stadium is planned to be fully operational in April 2018 while the first match is scheduled for 5 June 2018.

The multifunctional complex includes possibilities for conferences, forums, festivals, etc. and other sports including football, hockey and boxing. For football matches, the VTB Arena will have a capacity of around 26,000 seats. The entire project is designed by Manica Architecture, the bureau that is also responsible for the New Camp Nou.

“Presenting the new football field and stadium tribunes is a milestone event showing that VTB Arena Park has successfully entered the homestretch. The Russian government and “Dynamo” society representatives inspected the facility and highly appreciated the quality of the field turf and the tribunes for spectators. I am sure that the stadium will become a future attraction place for the football fans and other sports enthusiasts.”
