Governance update: Cyril De Greve appointed as new Managing Director

During ESSMA’s 5th edition of the annual ESSMA Summit at Estádio do Dragão, home of FC Porto, President John Beattie informed the participants on the appointment of Cyril De Greve as new Managing Director of the Association.

During the Advisory Committee, held on 21 January, Cyril De Greve was appointed as new Managing Director of the organisation. He will take over the day-to-day management of Dimitri Huygen, who will remain as member of the Executive and Advisory Committee.

“It is satisfying to see that Dimitri Huygen, who brought us to our current success, takes the business director’s position at Royal Antwerp FC and will use his experience to transform this traditional club back to the top of Belgian football. We appreciate his continuous engagement and involvement staying as board member to guide the association to a higher level.”

“ESSMA has been a fantastic journey so far and I am so grateful for the progress that we, together, have achieved over the past years. I am confident and proud on the leadership that will be taken by the actual team, managed by Cyril De Greve, who already contributed to the first ESSMA Summit at the Allianz Arena in Munich (2014).”
