How to plan social distance at sports grounds?

SGSA develops guidance to enable to return of fans to sports grounds safely.

The Sports Ground Safety Authority’s main goal is to strive towards safe management of sports grounds. This challenge has become even more difficult with regard to the COVID-19 outbreak and all subsequent hygienic measures. Safe sports management has to think out-of-the-box. In order to assist all of those venues hosting or soon to be hosting matches again, SGSA has launched a supplement to their widely known and spread ‘Green Guide’,the Guide to Safety at Sports Ground. In September a live webinar will be hosted by SGSA, where Ken Scott will discuss the final version and answer questions. Be sure to keep an eye on the SGSA website for more information on this event.

To assist sports grounds to start to plan what may be required to enable the return of spectators, SGSA developed a series of videos which provide a discussion on each chapter. The videos are led by Ken Scott, SGSA’s Head of Inspectorate and author of the guidance. The videos are available on the SGSA website or go directly:

The designed format should lead to a vivid discussion with our speakers, interactive opportunities and of course various best practices to improve your stadium operations.
