Industry update: more on connectivity, sustainability and fan experience
Read more on a 3MW battery storage system at Emirates Stadiums, the new 360 ° Estádio da Luz stadium tour, a case study regarding connected stadiums and more in this weekly industry update provided by ESSMA.
SMART & Sustainability
- ESSMA League and Federation Members LFP, LNR and FFF together with The French Ministry op Sports and other national sports leagues have created a case study regarding the connectivity of sports stadiums.
- A new 3MW battery storage system has been installed at Emirates Stadium. The storage system has been designed to meet peak levels of energy consumption on matchday and can provide enough energy for the entire match. Furthermore, the system is part of Arsenal FC’s efforts to reduce their carbon footprint and environmental impact.
Fan Experience
- SL Benfica have upgraded their 360 Estádio da Luz stadium tour. By using the app, fans will be able to visit the stadium without a guide. The tour includes Augmented & Virtual Reality features, 360° videos, exclusive content, virtual live interaction and more.
