Industry update: more on construction, ticketing and pitch management

Construction & Development
- The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy unveiled the design of Lusail Stadium. The 80,000 capacity Lusail Stadium will both host the opening and final matches of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™. After the World Cup, the stadium will be transformed into a community space including schools, shops, cafés, sporting facilities and health clinics.
Fan Experience & Hospitality
- Olympique de Marseille is going to work together with Waze to improve accessibility around and to the stadium as it is a key issue for the club. With the partnership, the club wants to send accurate information and updates to their fans on how to drive efficiently to the Orange Vélodrome.
Operations & Ticketing
- The Premier League has conducted comprehensive research regarding ticketing during the 2018/19 season. The study encompasses interesting figures about away tickets, a breakdown of ticket buyers, capacity, ticket types, etc.

- On 15 January 2019, SGL - an ESSMA Stadium Partner - will organise a LED Showcase at Allianz Arena to show their new LED200 IR systems. The LED system is a more sustainable grow lighting system and is equipped with a fully automatic and integrated Infrared Radiation as well as an irrigation system.
