Safety & Security

  • SGSA commissioned independent research on the safe management of standing at football. One of the findings suggests that, overall, installing barriers (or safety bars) has had a positive impact on spectator safety, particularly in mitigating the risk of crowd collapse.

Fan Experience & Hospitality

  • Ligue de Football Professionnel has introduced Intel® True View. The technology is designed to enhance the offering provided by LFP broadcast partners and the LFP’s own digital platforms. Parc des Princes is the first Ligue 1 stadium where True View, with 38 5K cameras in being installed. With 360-degree replays, fans can freeze the match at any moment to see the view of the pitch from the viewpoint of a player.


  • Liverpool FC's stadium tour and museum was named in the European Best Tours for Groups category at the recent 2019 Get Your Guide Awards. Interactive and immersive, the Anfield experience gives supporters unprecedented access to rarely-seen areas of the iconic stadium, including the home and away team dressing rooms and the players’ tunnel. Almost 340,000 fans have visited Anfield to experience the stadium tour and visit the museum over the past 12 months.

  • With the ‘Many Faces’ initiative FC Porto has launched a global equality campaign. FC Porto always acknowledged its responsibility on raising the society’s awareness on subjects as important as equality, fighting against any sort of social or territorial discrimination. In line with the objectives of a sustainable development, this is a campaign that, by making use of the message of the song, also intends to make younger generations aware of the negative consequences of an attitude of discrimination.

  • Göztepe Sports Club recently inaugurated its brand-new Gürsel Aksel Stadium. The 20,040 capacity stadium features a new 650-meter walking trail on the roof.
