SMART & Sustainability

  • Tottenham Hotspur tops the 2020 Premier League Sustainability Table. Club gains the maximum 21 points available having been judged across eight different sustainability criteria including waste management and energy efficiency. In addition, the club has become a signatory of the UN Sports for Climate Action Framework.

Fan Experience & Hospitality

  • The fourth edition of eLaLiga Santander launches with 38 clubs out of the 42 LaLiga Santander and LaLiga Smartbank clubs. A new feature of this eLaLiga Santander season is that 11 of the clubs were able to select their main player - or to add a player to their squad - from among those who were highest ranked in the online tournaments held between October and November.

  • The club mascots of FC Utrecht, Tiger and Tigergirl, officially moved into their own ‘Tiger house’ at Galgenwaard. Both on matchdays and non-matchdays young fans are welcome to experience and enjoy the FC Utrecht club mentality.

  • Two of the FIFA 2020 World Cup venues, Education City Stadium and Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium will host the FIFA Club World Cup 2020™ later this month.

  • DFL has entered into a cooperation with HYPE Sports Innovation, a leading accelerator for innovation and technology in sport.
