SMART & Sustainability

  • Organic waste from Johan Cruijff ArenA and other local organisations will be collected and converted into green energy and organic fertilizers at the end of 2021. Via The Waste Transformer, the ArenA will partially run on energy from local food waste and the pitch will be fertilised from it as well.

  • By installing 23 new electric charging stations, Athletic Bilbao wants to promote a more sustainable mobility model. The implementation is part of a collaboration with Petronor to turn Athletic Bilbao and San Mamés into a green club based on 100% renewable and local energy.

Operations & Ticketing

  • Feyenoord is launching a new business concept, Feyenoord Accelerator. The club wants to attract scale-ups which have the potential to grow exponentially.

  • ESSMA Corporate Partner Musco Lighting will be installing a new LED lighting system at Old Trafford to enhance the matchday experience. The stadium will not only see an increase in light performance and light quality, it will also see a reduction of more than 20 percent in energy consumption with the new lighting system.
