Safety & Security

  • Borussia Mönchengladbach is one of the teams who extended their partnership with ESSMA partner Safesight. It was the first German team to use the platform of Safesight. Valencia CF and FSV Mainz 05 also extended their deal.  

Development & Construction 

  • AS Roma still has had the ambition to build a new stadium. The club has had plans for a long time, but these plans have been delayed multiple times. The latest plan is to build a new stadium in the Pietralata quarter of Rome.  

  • Goodison Park’s legacy plans have been approved by the Liverpool City Council. Everton FC will move to its new stadium in 2024. Afterwards Goodison Park will be demolished, and the site will be used for housing, business offices, green space and a health centre.

  • UK Athletics is considering to move out of the Olympic Stadium in Londen. This would enable West Ham United to redevelop the stadium to a football-specific venue without an athletics track.
