Join ESSMA’s 2021 Pitch Services e-Workshop
On Thursday 25 March ESSMA will organise its virtual Pitch Services e-Workshop. The main topics of the e-workshop will focus on data gathering, busy schedules, sustainable pitch management and COVID-19 protocols. Insights will be shared by Sporting Clube de Portugal, Johan Cruijff ArenA and Dr. Bernd Leinauer.
UEFA Champions League final and adapting to flexible calendars
During a double interview, Afonso Meireles and Miguel Bastos will share the process of preparing Sporting CP pitch at Estádio José Alvalade for the 2020 UEFA Champions League Final. In addition, they’ll discuss the impact of the increased amount of matches in a short period (due to COVID-19) on their day-to-day job.
Pitch management at Johan Cruijff ArenA
Sander van Stiphout (Director International) and Paul Baas (Field Manager) will share insights on the ArenA's technology linked to pitch data and how they analyse the data into their pitch dashboard. In total, 15 sensors in the pitch, 30 sensors around the stadium and additional sensors for their weather station are being used to analyse the pitch conditions.
