Operations & Ticketing 

  • FC Bayern Munich and Telekom extend their partnership until 2027. Deutsche Telekom will remain a sponsor on the team’s kit and stadium perimeters. The partnership already lasts 20 years, in which FC Bayern has won the Bundesliga 15 times! The deal will reportedly go through for 50 million euros per year. 

  • As a result of the very succesfull Women Euro 2022 UEFA launches a forward-looking and practical report with a focus on the potential growth in the European women’s club and league game over the next decade. Check out the report here: 

  • Visit Mallorca Estadi will remain the name of RCD Mallorca for at least one more season. The rights were previously donated to the Mallorca Tourism Foundation to help the island’s economy recover from the impact of COVID-19. This time the club generates 1.5 million euro sponsorship fee.

  • ESSMA-partner SGL interviewed Peter Sauer, head groundsman at VfL Wolfsburg, ahead of the start of the German Bundesliga. The interview gives insights in grass disease treatment, LED-technology and data control with a sustainable approach. You can check it out here.

 Fan Experience & Hospitality 

  • Hibernian, a Scottish Premier League squad, revealed the recent upgrades to their Easter Road stadium ahead of the 2022-2023 season. With a focus on increasing the matchday-experience changes include a raise in amount of hospitality areas from two to six, introduction of LED-advertising boards, the installment of TVs around the facility and the relaying of the astro turf around the pitch. 

Stadium Development 

  • The final stage of Atalanta’s stadium redevelopment project has been approved by the city council in Bergamo. Works start around june 2023, probably after the conclusion of the Serie A season. Capacity will be increased from 21.300 to 24.000 in Gewiss Stadium after completion.
