SAFA (South African Football Association) and ESSMA league member LaLiga, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which focuses on initiatives in terms of improving the growth of football in South Africa.
Close to FC Bayern’s Allianz Arena in the north of Munich, the club opened its new Campus for young players. The aim of the Youth Academy is to optimize and improve the development of young talent.
During the ESSMA European Stadium Tour to Russia (2-5 July 2017), one of the stadiums we visited was the future Dynamo Stadium. With the VTB Arena incorporated into the stadium, both venues and its surroundings are part of an enormous project in Moscow and we talked to the Head of Project at VTB Arena Park, Andrei Peregoudov.
ESSMA welcomes new league members Eredivisie CV (Association of Eredivisie clubs) and CED (Cooperation of first division clubs) to its extensive network of stadium professionals. Through the membership of both leagues, all associated clubs will be part of ESSMA’s community.
Stadium Member FC Nantes and Stadium Partner Philips Lighting have worked together to renovate the Stade de la Beaujoire Louis Fonteneau. FC Nantes is the first Ligue 1 stadium which is fully LED equipped with the Philps ArenaVision LED solution.

This year’s European Stadium Tour from 2 to 5 July was held in Russia where several venues in Moscow and Saint Petersburg were visited.
From 29 August to 1 September, ESSMA will organise its Global Stadium tour to several venues in Miami and Minneapolis.
