Our colleague Yari Van Minsel had the pleasure of joining KNVB Expertise on their annual Field Trip, this year to the Basque Country. Over the course of 3 days more than 30 representatives from Dutch Eredivisie and Keuken Kampioen Divisie clubs visited Real Sociedad, SD Eibar and Athletic Club de Bilbao. Each club provided in-depth presentations and extensive stadium tours during the visit.

As the most recent renovation dated from 1975, Stade Bauer was long time due for an in-depth renovation. In June 2019, Red Star FC, the club playing at Stade Bauer, announced plans to completely renovate its stadium into a multifunctional, modern stadium that can host the teams for years to come and support the ambition to grow.
ESSMA interviewed Mr. Dirk Floer, part of the organization and stadium management team, regarding the plans and ambitions for the Benteler Arena. The main objective is to increase seating capacity and extend the hospitality offerings for VIP’s.
