The venue for the two-day event was Allianz Stadium, home of Juventus FC. Â George Vaughan, Senior Project Manager at Rugby Football Union (RFU) focused his presentation on the operational approach to technology at Twickenham Stadium and its open-loop system.

Juventus FC has around 350-million fans globally, 41-million of which are based in Europe, resulting in a huge potential global market.

The EPFL, which represents 32 European Leagues and Associations, works on a political and regulatory level with the stakeholders both in Europe and on a global level, as well as engaging with EU institutions.

Francesco Gianello, Head of Stadium, Juventus FC provided details on the 41,507-seat Allianz Stadium, which was inaugurated in 2011 at a cost of €105m, and replaced the club’s former home, the Stadio Delle Alpi.Â
In the run-up to the ESSMA Safety Management Workshop that will be organised in Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park from 7 to 8 November, ESSMA interviewed two of the Borussia Dortmund hosts: Dr. Christian Hockenjos (Director of Organisation) and Kai Ruben (Security Manager). Both of them are profoundly involved in Borussia Dortmund’s match day operations and are the ideal experts to talk to when it comes to safety management at Germany’s largest football stadium.
During the ESSMA European Stadium Tour to Russia (2-5 July 2017), one of the stadiums we visited was the future Dynamo Stadium. With the VTB Arena incorporated into the stadium, both venues and its surroundings are part of an enormous project in Moscow and we talked to the Head of Project at VTB Arena Park, Andrei Peregoudov.
