At the start of the 2018-2019 football season, the Amsterdam ArenA will officially change its name to the Johan Cruijff ArenA. The new logo of the Johan Cruijff ArenA will be unveiled on or near April 25, the birthday of the legendary footballer.
Sebastian Breuing, Head Groundsman SV Werder Bremen, will take part in the ESSMA Pitch Management Workshop where he will share how they are tracking the weather at SV Werder Bremen. Breuing started his career as Groundsman in Bochum and got promoted to Head Groundsman in 2006 (then being the youngest Head Groundsman in the Bundesliga). Since 2014, he is working as Head Groundsman at SV Werder Bremen.

Amsterdam ArenA will host our SMART and Sustainability Workshop organised on 18 and 19 April. During the two-day workshop, the team of Amsterdam ArenA will share in-depth how they handle energy storage at the stadium and will guide participants around the stadium with an ‘into the future’ tour.
