During the ESSMA Safety & Security Seminar in Dortmund, Lasse Bauer (Supporter Liaison Officer) and Mickel Lauritsen (former Director of Security & Stadium Operations) presented how and why Brøndby IF developed their own pyrotechnics. ESSMA interviewed Lasse Bauer about the different steps in the process and the reaction of their fans.
ESSMA interviewed Phivos Constantinides, General Manager at GSP Stadium, during the Safety & Security Workshop in Dortmund about the importance of training stewards and how to motivate them. Furthermore, he gave insights about his presentation regarding steward training and formation at GSP Stadium, home of Cypriot First Division teams Apoel FC and AC Omonia.
ESSMA supported the French Professional Football League – LFP – with a Belgian stadium tour for 30 representatives from 13 clubs. The delegation visited KV Oostende, Royal Antwerp FC, KAA Gent, KV Mechelen and STVV to listen and learn how they are managing topics within CRM, hospitality, ticketing, construction and revenue generation.
This year’s Safety & Security Management Workshop was organised at Signal Iduna Park, home of Borussia Dortmund. Over 60 members from 14 countries could learn more about crowd management, pyrotechnics, ingress and egress and other safety & security related topics.

As a result of recent terror attack nationally and internationally, the Council of Wolverhampton City voted to bring in a series of safety measures across the city to reduce vulnerability of pedestrians including around Molineux Stadium. The new measures comprise an installation of security barrier systems at different locations around Wolverhampton Wanders Molineux’ Stadium.
