Dublin’s iconic Aviva Stadium, home of the FAI and the IRFU, was the stunning backdrop for the ESSMA Summit 2018 this week. Organised by ESSMA (European Stadium & Safety Management Association) in partnership with the ECA (European Club Association) and the EPFL (European Professional Football Leagues), the ESSMA Summit has become the must-attend event for those involved in the stadium industry.
The ESSMA-BASIS Smart & Sustainable Stadium Workshop was co-hosted by Arsenal FC’s Emirates Stadium on Day 1 and the Rugby Football Union (RFU’s) Twickenham Stadium on Day 2.

Last week we had a chat with Michael Lloyd, Deputy Stadium Manager at Arsenal FC and speaker on the first day of the ESSMA-BASIS Smart & Sustainable Stadium Workshop that will take place at Emirates and Twickenham Stadium in London from 7 to 8 June 2017.
Get an impression of ESSMA’s successful 2016. We enjoyed a great Summit in Bilbao, an inspiring small & medium sized stadium tour to Switzerland, Austria and Hungary and our second USA Fan Experience Tour took us to the West Coast, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
From 16 to 18 January, the third annual ESSMA Summit took place at Parc Olympique Lyonnais. With 350 delegates participating, this edition proved to be successful.
