Industry update: more on development, waste management and fan experience

Development & Construction

 

  • AS Monaco announced its long-term development plans with three main infrastructure projects:
    • A 7.500m2 multifunctional sports complex, Center for Sporting Excellence, which will include three pitches, a fitness center, a medical centre, a rehabilitation zone, etc.;
    • The renovation of the premium hospitality boxes at Louis II Stadium with 18 new boxes;
    • A dormitory for the club’s Academy students, Diagonal, which will consist of two blocks with 67 bedrooms, classrooms, a medical center, a rehabilitation centre and a kitchen.

  



 

Fan Experience & Hospitality

 

  • Stade Toulousain introduced the Escape Game concept at Stade Ernest-Wallon. On matchdays, fans will be able to choose between two ‘Escape Game’ puzzles which have to be solved within 40 minutes.

 

 

 

SMART & Sustainability

 

  • BASIS, British Association for Sustainable Sport, will organise its 8th annual BASIS Conference on 12–13 March at Wembley Stadium, London. Topics will focus on hospitality waste, packaging awareness, the launch of the BASIS Facilities Certification Scheme, facilities, circular waste and re-use, etc.
