ESSMA involved in The Spectator Safety Conference (SGSA) at Lord’s Cricket Ground on 02/03/2017

The Spectator Safety Conference, organized by the Sports Grounds Safety Authority (SGSA), will be held on 2 March 2017 at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. ESSMA will be involved through one of the panel discussions. 

The conference will discuss the latest issues facing the sector and share good practices to ensure spectator safety remains a priority for all sports.The event is a meeting point for all professionals involved in keeping spectators safe at sports grounds.

More than 150 delegates are expected to participate at the conference. Half of the attendees represents stadiums and clubs. ESSMA will be involved in the event through Managing Director Dimitri Huygen (photo above), who will take part in one of the breakout workshop sessions.

The fifth edition of the Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds (“The Green Guide”), published by SGSA, will also be available at the event. The Green Guide provides detailed guidance to ground management, technical specialists such as architects and engineers and all relevant authorities to assist them assessing how many spectators can be safely accommodated within a sports ground.
