On 20-21 September STRI Group will host its (free) annual Research Day at its headquarters in West Yorkshire.

The SoccerIn Global Convention 2017 will take place 19-21 July in Shanghai, China. During this annual gathering, participants will exchange opinions and network on topics including Big Data, Sports Medicine, E-Sports, Stadia construction and more.

Belgian club KAA Gent opened their new training complex only five months after the first stone was laid. The 2014-2015 champions of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League see the new facilities as a necessary step to become one of the biggest clubs in Belgium. Four years ago they also built a completely new stadium, the Ghelamco Arena.

Virtual reality (VR) is growing in popularity and is looking to transform the sports industry. 360° videos can enhance involvement of the group of fans normally sitting in front of their TV without the ambience of the stadium. Now they have the chance to experience the game as if they were there.

On Friday 19 May the Khalifa International Stadium will host the 2017 Emir Cup final between long lasting rivals Al Rayyan and Al Sadd. It will be the first match played in the recent renovated stadium. The renovations were mandatory to host matches up to the quarter-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
