During ESSMA’s Safety & Security Workshop in Copenhagen, David Lewis - Head of Security & Stadium Safety Officer - shared insights with participants on how Everton FC have strengthened the collaboration between stewards and the local police and their advanced CCTV system to improve the overall safety at Goodison Park.

ESSMA interviewed Carlos Carvalho, he’s in charge of the Operations Department at Estádio do Dragão. Furthermore, he’s the Security Manager at FC Porto.

During ESSMA’s Safety & Security Workshop in Copenhagen, Leif Bjørn - Security Manager at Telia Parken - explained more about FC København’s away system, used to identify fans during away games.

ESSMA interviewed Mafalda Magalhães, FC Porto’s Museum Director. Her daily tasks involve coordinating all the departments and, together with a work team, performing the operational management of FC Porto’s Museum.

During ESSMA’s Safety and Security Workshop in Copenhagen, Francesco Gianello, Head of Allianz Stadium, shared the security and stewarding approach of Juventus.

ESSMA interviewed Teresa Santos, Quality & Environment Manager at FC Porto about sustainability at Estádio do Dragão. Together with her colleagues, they monitor the energy and water consumption as well as control legislation on a daily basis. Furthermore, they plan and monitor actions and provide continuous training in social responsibility and environment areas in order to change the club’s behaviour and act responsibly.

ESSMA interviewed Bas Schnater, Fan Engagement & CRM Coordinator at AZ Alkmaar, about CRM, fan engagement and data gathering.

During ESSMA’s Safety and Security Workshop in Copenhagen, Joris De Lange - Matchday Operations & Security Manager - talked about the challenges AFC Ajax has faced in terms of attracting, training and retaining stewards and how they dealt with it by creating their own in-house stewarding company, called Stewarding Triple A.
