The European Stadium & Safety Management Association (ESSMA) will gather during the Fan Experience Workshop. The event will be held in Paris (France) from 8 to 9 October at the Paris La Défense Arena.

Julio Tarréga Diéz, (former) Audiovisual Manager of Valencia CF, shared the strategy behind engaging fans with video content at Mestalla, the different projects and the club’s overall vision regarding video content during the ESSMA Summit.

The fifth ESSMA Summit will be organised from 22 to 23 January 2019 at Estadío Do Dragão, home of FC Porto. This must-attend stadium industry event is organised by ESSMA in partnership with European Leagues and ECA (European Club Association).

Martina Flood, Head of Catering & Operations at Aviva Stadium, on how they were able to improve fan experience through partnership and how to approach the different fan profiles regarding hospitality.

The two-day event by Messe Düsseldorf in cooperation with DFL, Deutsche Fußball Liga, brought together over 900 participants from 21 countries interested in sports technology. Among exhibitors were ESSMA’s Corporate Partners, Musco Lighting and AwareManager and all DFL subsidiaries.

Paal Baas and Arjan Knottnerus shared insights related to multifunctionality at the Amsterdam ArenA, their hybrid Lay&Play solution, challenges and their protocol when hosting events on the pitch.

Mats Enquist, General Secretary of the Swedish Football League, presented the Swedish Connected League Project during the ESSMA Summit. He explained more about the system that they are developing to compete in Europe and to build a better identity.

Sustainability Manager Russell Seymour talked about how Lord Cricket Ground’s sustainability efforts have been received by the public, their waste management policy and the sustainable approach of the venue’s redevelopment plan during our SMART & Sustainability Workshop at Amsterdam ArenA.

Arthur Berends, Company Director De Enk Groen & Golf and together with the Amsterdam ArenA grounds team responsible for the pitch, shared insights related to data tracking and their pitch dashboard during our Pitch Management Workshop.
