The European Stadium & Safety Management Association (ESSMA) will assemble during the Fan Entertainment Workshop. This event will take place in Turin (Italy) from 3 to 4 October at Juventus FC’s Allianz Stadium.

During the ESSMA European Stadium Tour to Russia (2-5 July 2017), one of the stadiums we visited was the future Dynamo Stadium. With the VTB Arena incorporated into the stadium, both venues and its surroundings are part of an enormous project in Moscow and we talked to the Head of Project at VTB Arena Park, Andrei Peregoudov.

From 29 August to 1 September, ESSMA will organise its Global Stadium tour to several venues in Miami and Minneapolis. Patrick Talty will show participants around the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Recently, ESSMA interviewed Patrick Talty, General Manager at the U.S. Bank Stadium about the day-to-day operations.

This year’s European Stadium Tour from 2 to 5 July was held in Russia where several venues in Moscow and Saint Petersburg were visited.

The ESSMA-BASIS Smart & Sustainable Stadium Workshop was co-hosted by Arsenal FC’s Emirates Stadium on Day 1 and the Rugby Football Union (RFU’s) Twickenham Stadium on Day 2.

Day 2 of the Workshop was kicked off with an introduction by RFU’s Sustainability Manager, Dru Morton. After he welcomed the participants, members were taken on a behind-the-scenes tour of Twickenham Stadium where Morton disseminated a lot of technical data regarding the venue, its operations and sustainability credentials.

The European Stadium & Safety Management Association will assemble during its Global Stadium Tour in the USA (Miami and Minneapolis) from 29 August to 1 September 2017

Arsenal’s Deputy Stadium Manager, Michael Lloyd, opened the event by welcoming everyone to the venue. In his opinion, BASIS is the perfect organisation in terms of environmental impact and energy consumption needs of sport venues for likeminded stadium executives who want to work together.
